No temp reported AMD Phenom II X6 1090T BE(Thuban)

I noticed the recent program update which I figured was the support the new AMD chips. I am however not getting any readings for temp on this processor atm, see screenshot below. Tested in other tools with no issues, temp shows fine in bios monitoring also.

On a sidenote, you'll see your tool says "AMD Phenom II X6 1009T BE (Thuban)" however the correct model is 1090T. Anyway, let me know if I can provide any helpful information.

The recognition and the layout problems will be fixed in the upcoming release, but the temperature reporting problem is not an issue with Core Temp but something with the BIOS. You do a search on this forum and you'll notice some others with the same problem. It's an issue with the BIOS not allowing software access to the relevant registers, so instead of getting a reading you don't get anything.

Please try to disable ACC in the BIOS and see if Core Temp is able to read the temperatures then

I had the same issue and fixed it by disabling "ASUS Core Unlocker" as there are no more cores to unlock.

This on a CrossHair IV motherboard.

Now the only issue I see is CoreTemp only displays core 0 temp.

It shows "CPU 0" temp, Phenom based processors only include a single thermal sensor per processor, so there is no point in having several readings displaying the same values. I used the saved space to display the frequency of each of a selected processor's cores. Since in Phenom processors each core is capable of running at a different frequency, I thought it would be a much better use of the space.

I guess I made the statement in reference to the Core 0 temp as it doesn't reflect the proper CPU temperature.

HWMonitor and the ASUS PCProbe display the correct CPU temperature along with the core temps.

Core Temp displays the temperature reported to it by the CPU.
I've explained it many times, these processors report temperatures which are not absolute. There is usually a 10-15C delta that should be added to the readings to see the real temperature value.
You can also see how HWMonitor reports the same readings under the Phenom title.
