Cannot resize window

Post by JackInCT »

Hi, I'm a brand new user. When I open the window, I can see that the bottom part of the window isn't opened all the way, i. e., I can see part of the line below "TCase Max" (and cannot tell if there is anything else below that), and I've tried everything to expand the window, but no luck [the sides seem to be OK, although "Help" on the menu bar is RIGHT below the word "file" and I would imagine that all four listings should be straight across horizontally]. Is there anyway to fix this? Thanks

Hi, VERY Quick turn around time--good work.

I attached my PrintScreen file (not 100% sure that I'm adding the file correctly to this reply, but WE shall see).

Thanks.

I see the problem. You set the size of the title bar to a very large font. This causes Core Temp to mess up because the menu is so large that it wraps around.
My suggestion is to reduce the title font size and increase the DPI if you want to have a larger text on your screen.

Yes, I believe that your diagnosis is correct.

Having said that, there is a BIG problem on my end with my display.

This LCD monitor in front of me as I type this is my very first foray into LCD monitor technology (about 3 months into it) after my old & trusty CRT gave up the ghost. I failed to really delve into the specs of this monitor before I purchased it (online). Instead of buying one with the 4:3 aspect ratio of my CRT, I bought one that was really made for watching HD movies re its physical width (it’s 20 inches wide); using it is like (literally) sitting in the front row of a movie theater. I have played with, especially in terms of man-hours, an enormous amount of time trying to tweak this monitor with all sorts of utilities, display settings, etc.,. This is NOT a graphics card issue, but one of numerous display compromises, that when all is said and done, is a “making the best of a bad situation” deal. Reducing font sizes, etc., in some [but NOT all] program application situations makes for text that is too small to comfortably read (and in others it’s still [even with large point size fonts] so small that I have to squint to read it). Reducing screen resolution (as a way for larger ‘everything’) winds up with pixalated images that are really ugly (eyesore) to look at.

Well there's a setting called DPI. You can change that and it will adjust the text size and window size to fit your needs better. Core Temp will also adjust itself to the new DPI settings.
