Core Temp 1.10.2 not saving "Start Core Temp with Windows"

Postby mekadave » Fri Oct 27, 2017 2:04 am

Hi all. First post here.

I've got 3 PCs running Core Temp 1.10.2. 1 running Windows 7, 2 running Windows 10. The Win 7 machine is fine, no issues. The two Win 10 boxes have the same issue: the "Start Core Temp with Windows" setting won't stay enabled. Every time I reboot, it becomes unchecked and I have to manually start it. My account on both boxes is an Administrator. The two machines don't have much in common besides Windows 10. One is a desktop running an AMD FX9590, the other is a laptop running an Intel Core I5-6300HQ. Any ideas?

To allow Core Temp to start with administrator permissions Core Temp has to create a scheduled task.
Try to open Task Scheduler and see if it works, and whether you can find a Core Temp entry in there. A corruption in the task scheduler will prevent Core Temp from starting automatically with Windows.
