Notification Area font changes unexpectedly

Hello -- I am running CoreTemp 1.10.1 on a Windows 10 Pro version 1703 laptop. The laptop has a 4k display (3840x2160) but at work I plug into dual 2k displays (1920x1080). My problem is this -- when I set the font to display properly on the 2k display (font size=11), when I unplug and use the laptop by itself, the font changes to something like 6. When I correct that and set it back to 11, when I connect back to the 2k monitor as primary display, the font somehow changes to 24 and is unreadable.

Is there a way to get the font to stay at 11pt regardless of monitor resolution?

Core Temp is partially DPI aware, but such transitions are currently not supported well enough.
I'll look into it further, but can't promise a quick fix for this issue.

I did see another post out how much work it would be to fix this, but do appreciate it being in your queue. Thanks!

Please note this is being currently fixed & improved by Microsoft with each Windows Insider Preview new update/build of Windows 10 Fall Creators Update they have been releasing in recent months.
So, when Microsoft release that as final release on Oct 17th, Core Temp should work much better with 2/3/etc displays.

(NOTE: I am a Windows Insider for a while now, so I use the Preview versions of Windows 10 on my 3 PCs here.
NOTE #2: Fall Creators Update will come at date listed above. The older Release version - Creators Update - came out in April/May 2017.)

this font change is really annoying. I wanted to save me a few thousand mouse clicks, so I found thew following workaround:
In folder C:\Program Files\Core Temp is a file CoreTemp.ini, which stores the settings. I changed ownership of this file to myself, with full control:

1. open File Explorer and select CoreTemp.ini
2. right-click - Properties - Security - Advanced - Change Owner to yourself
3. change Access to Full Control -OK
4. edit file: my preferred settings are:
SystrayFontName=Calibri;
SystrayFontSize=9;
5. save file
6, change Attribute to Read-only

Note: this only worked once for me, sorry. The proper workaround is to put the ownership at another (fake) user, not yourself. The process starts up with you as owner.
