Version 1.5.1 is also detecting incorrectly a core2 quad q6600 cpu as "genuine intel" with 1 core and 4 threads. I´m including screenshot and register dump.

Interesting.
This is not exactly Core Temp's fault. Your CPU is not reporting one crucial bit of information (CPUID function 0x00000004 is missing) which Core Temp needs to recognize the processor correctly.
Could you also attach a screenshot and a TXT report from CPU-z?

Thanks, looks like CPU-z has a similar difficulty recognizing your chip.
I'm not sure if it's a CPU problem or a BIOS problem, though. In either case, there's no much that can be done from the software's side here.
