Core Temp 1.0 RC9 issues on Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview

It seems Core Temp (or its driver??) block the Windows Start menu from operating properly.
Moving an icon from one location to another causes the icon to disappear? Additionally, starting some actions/apps does nothing.
Using Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit, Insider Preview - latest build 14376.
When I then kill Core Temp via Task Manager, the missing icon(s) suddenly appear in Start menu, several windows/apps I tried to open open all at once.
It seems Core Temp (or its drivers?) cause Windows 10 operations to freeze/lockup.
Is this a known issue? Did you test Core Temp 1.0 RC9 on Windows 10 latest Preview build above (or older ones too, for that matter), please? Has anyone reported anything similar?
Other specs: Intel Core i5 CPU, 16 GB of RAM, 2 SSDs in RAID0, 3 Seagate HDDs, GeForce video card (Intel CPU built-in GPU disabled in BIOS).
