Core Temp 1.0RC8 regression on Trinity

Post by combr »

I got a message about "New Core Temp" and update it.
And i got a temperature reads for cores > TjMax :)

For now, TjMax = 90 grad, current core temperature = 101 grad.
Before upgrade idle temp was ~ 45-50 grad, load temp was ~80-85 grad.

It's a samsung notebook 535U3c with AMD A6-4455M(Trinity).
Please, fix it, i fear of fire in my notebook ;)

I go to Settings --> Advanced and tick the Distance to TjMax option, but temperatures are negative now... (like -15 - -25 C)

I think about revert to old version, which sowing adequate degrees in 50-80 range.

There was quite a long discussion about Trinity and the accuracy of its thermal sensor.
Later on it was found that there was another way to read temperature from this type of processor.
It seems that this results in high temperature readings in some cases.
I'll change it back for the next update and we'll see how that goes.
