Logging doesn't start if Core Temp started with Windows

Post by pbecker »

I'm using Core Temp 1.0 RC6 on an Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit-System with an Intel Core M 5Y71 CPU.

The CPU very quickly reaches critical temperatures after startup.
That's why I want Core Temp to start with Windows and write log files immediately after system start.

Unfortunately, although I chose the settings 'Start Core Temp with Windows' and 'Enable logging on startup' no log file is written.
Only if I start Core Temp manually, a log file is written.

I'm not sure wether this is a bug or this behaviour is intended. In fact it's not what I expected and I would be glad, if it could be fixed.

Thank you in advance.

This is the first time I hear of this issue.
Have you tried running a search to see whether the log file may be created somewhere else?
Core Temp should automatically create the log in the folder the executable is in. It's possible you may have two copies of Core Temp and the one that starts automatically isn't stored in the same location, I'd look at that possibility.
