Core Temp stopped working today
I've had Core Temp installed on my Toshiba Satellite with a Core i3 processor since February 2011 when I first got it. It's worked great, until today. When I turned on the laptop today I received a message that Core Temp could not find supported processors. (see the attached images). Any ideas how to fix this?

Re: Core Temp stopped working today
If by any chance this started after installing the latest windows update, it could be the reason for the failure.

Re: Core Temp stopped working today
I read the information at the link provided (https://support.microsoft.com/kb/3024777), downloaded the applicable update and tried to install it. It didn't seem to install, so I checked my list of updates and the KB update referred to in the article (KB 3004394) isn't installed on my computer. CoreTemp still doesn't work, even after running the last set of Windows updates. Any other suggestions?

You have to make sure that the user you are running Core Temp from has full administrator permissions.

I am the only user and full administrator of this computer (and, before you ask, yes, I know how to check/change those settings).

Run CPU-z, go to the About tab and generate a txt output from it.
Post the file here and I'll try to find what the problem is.

Re: Core Temp stopped working today
Has there been any new ideas on how to get this working on my computer?
Re: Core Temp stopped working today
Same thing here. I've been using this forever. Fresh install of Win 7 on the same machine. Worked for a day. Then after 300 windows updates it has the same message about not finding any supported processors.
The Reg file it creates is blank.
