When the size of text/icons is increased on the Display control panel control to 125%, core temp throws an exception every time it loads.
Fully patched Win 7 64-bit as of 9/24/2014. Setting 125% and restarting windows causes core temp to crash on load; whether start manually or by the system at start up. Resetting the value to 100% scaling returned the program to a working state.

just for curiositys sake, edit the configuration file and set AutoUpdateCheck=0
