Is Malware installed with CoreTemp?

Post by kiramtu »

Mr. Artur Liberman, this is a 2nd request for an explanation.

Why did CoreTemp install the Malware "Search Protect" and possibly others on my system and hijack my browser?

Does this malware/adware contain spyware?

Please reply as you have a very bitter user here, suspecting you of being in the spyware business. The onus of proof is on you.

I have sent you a private message before deleting your previous post, please read it.
What I can say is that the Core Temp installer displays offers to install 3rd party software. The user can skip or decline the offer, clicking on next accepts the displayed offer and installs it on the machine during installation.

OK - but, I was very careful not to install any adware/malware with your installation package. Obviously one sneaked through and I accept your explanation. So my questions are:

1- What assurance can you give me that the Installer that you have chosen (a very bad choice) does not contain spyware or its adware does not contain spyware?

2- How much do you get paid when an adware is installed? And what is the ratio of any adware install to CoreTemp installs?

By the way - CoreTemp is an excellent and classy piece of software. Very well done.
