Temperature not changing

Post by pgb195 »

I seem to have found a problem which has been reported before, my CPU temperature is being measured once at startup, but the recorded temperature never changes. CPU frequency, bus speed, voltage and load all seem to be recorded correctly and my CPU is also correctl identified, but no change in temperature is recorded either on the window or in the log file.
I've attached the log file from my last run which included a couple of minutes running rage in order to place some load on the CPU.
as you can see, the temperature is consistently recorded as 35C throughought the run.
I've attached the log file and a screenshot to illustrate.

Significantly, I know that the temperature sensors in the system are functioning correctly, because Gigabytes Easy-Tune software is able to give varying readings.

CPU: Phenom II X6 1090T
MB: Gigabyte 880GA-UD3H
GFX: 1gb Radeon HD6950 (Gigabyte)
RAM: 16Gb DDR3 (Crucial)

Try HWMonitor and see what it reports for Core temps (0 - 5), if that value is also static, there may be a problem with the processor's DTS.
