Hello!
I just overcloked my AMD Phenom IIx4 970BE to 4200MHz and core temp shows wrong value of frequency on each core(10.2 RC2). Strange cuz with 4100MHz it was ok.
Just check both included pictures. I would love to have 17000MHz CPU still
Anyway good and simple program and plx keep it up!

Re: Failed Frequency detection after OC
This is a bug, and it will be fixed in the next release.
You can just restart Core Temp, or press F5 to refresh the display, and it should go away.

Re: Failed Frequency detection after OC
I have this exact same problem too, but it happens even when I'm not overclocking my CPU (Phenom II 1100T BE). I found the way to fix this problem was to check the advanced option, "On the fly FSB detection (resource heavy)". I don't know how heavily it uses the resources, but it doesn't seem to be too much.
