here is a screenie of CT
of course the Engineering Sample was in a previous version of CPU-Z also, they fixed it in the lateset version,
TDP - wrong ( of course ha ha )
the system tray temps for all cores is 15 *C ( who cares right, the offset can correct this )
EDIT: I did mention speed - it would go as high as 15364mhz
CT reg dump ( partial ) ( the Processor model: = wrong lol, Processor name string: = correct he he )

Re: AMD FX Series issue - model, temps, speed ..
An updated version should be released before the end of the year.
Current version doesn't report correct TDP, obviously and can't ID the CPU, but the other info, like the temps and the frequency (for the most part) should be correct.

Re: AMD FX Series issue - model, temps, speed ..
I also found a temporary work around for the "Start Core Temp with Windows" and Core Temp not showing all temps for cores, and or just closes out, add a shortcut to the start menu StartUp folder and it will werk
OR
add a registry value to the Run ...
tested working on win 7 x64 should work fine on x86 also
OR
add a registry value to the Run ...
Code: Select all
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"CoreTemp"="\"C:\\Program Files\\Core Temp\\Core Temp.exe\""

Yes, that should work, but only if you don't have UAC enabled.
In case UAC is enabled, this method will not work. Windows will just notify you that it blocked a program from starting up automatically each time, and Core Temp wouldn't start.

Re: AMD FX Series issue - model, temps, speed ..
Yes I dont have UAC on, I havent seen this stuff since the very first time I used win 7, I killed all this off in my .xml file, so I have forgot about this, just like IE, WMC, WMP, etc.. removed, can't stand them, never did like any of these.
I hope Win 8 isnt so over run with default spam popups lol
