Race condition in CoreTemp 1.0 RC2

Post by speedy1971 »

Windows 7 x64. If I leave 1.0RC2 running long enough, it will fall into some sort of race condition, eating up a consistent 12% of CPU time. I suspect that it's triggered by a suspend and then resume. The tray icon becomes unresponsive to mouse clicks and the only way to terminate it is via task manager.

The details if it helps: Dell XPS 8100 8GB, Win7 x64 with IE9, C: is an Intel X-25M SSD and there are two garden variety SATA hard disks installed as well.

I thought I read someone else reporting the same here. I've been seeing this bug since the first 1.0 beta.
Dell XPS 8100 Core i7-860 2.66GHz 8GB RAM
Intel X25-M80G2 (C:) Seagate ST3100528AS (D:) WD WD10EARS (E:)
GeForce GT240 || Dell 2405WFP
Windows 7 SP1 x64 (IE9)

I'm having the same issue. It doesn't crash all the time after coming out of standby, but it does happen quite often.

I have a Core E8500 with an Asus P5K motherboard. I am also on Win7x64, with 6 gigs of ram.

I'm seeing this issue aswell (full utialization of one CPU thread)
CPU is a AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core Mobile RM-74 2.20Ghz
OS is Win7 x64 SP1
If you want to test the new version before release just send me a copy, it's easy to reproduce the issue on this laptop :)
