CoreTemp startup problems in session 0

Post by Magnificus36 »

I have made a service that reads the shared memory from Core Temp and makes it available for logging in Cacti. Everything works just fine except Core Temp frequently fails directly after I started it from my service. I have tried starting Core Temp with a scheduled task but that gave the same problem, sometimes Core Temp starts just fine and everything works, but sometimes Core Temp fails directly after it started.

In the Windows event log I found this error message:

Code: Select all

Error	25-6-2011 15:31:31	Application Error	1000	(100)	"Faulting application name: Core Temp.exe, version: 0.99.8.0, time stamp: 0x4ca7bccf

Followed by two identical information messages:

I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and use Core Temp 0.99.8.0 x64.

Attached you find the three event from my Windows log and a file mentioned in the information event.

P.S.
When I start Core Temp manually in my own session, and not in session 0 as System, Core Temp 'always' works just fine.
