Windows update glitched

Post by mlittle »

Hey,

Is anyone else having problems since the last tuesday windows updates? Ever since then my cpu usage has gone to 100% while running coretemp.

Took awhile to figure out what it was, but when i shutdown coretemp cpu usage goes back to normal. Worked fine before the last patch tuesday.

I'm on a amd x4 620 2.6ghz 4gb ram, win7 ultimate 64bit.

Thanks for any replies,
Mike

Haven't seen this problem before.
Do you have any instant messaging clients so we could speak one on one and try to resolve the issue?

I can get whichever im client is convenient if it would help.

It's funny it started right after this last patch tuesday, but I'm starting to get the feeling it may be a hardware issue.

Moving files a few times recently has gotten stuck. I'm going to look into it myself today or tomorrow more, but if you think it would help you and the project I'd be happy to grab a client and sn.

Thanks,
Mike

Just pick one IM from my Profile and contact me.
Core Temp shouldn't use a lot of CPU time.

ya sorry. been crazy busy. I got into it a week or so ago, assuming I may have some hardware issues. All fine. Even coretemp is running fine again.

Wish i had more time to investigate, whole thing was quite wierd. Had a few other wierd things happening so assumed i may have hardware issues. But closing coretemp instantly dropped cpu and memory usage back to normal. wierd stuff.

Glitch i guess. all of it just wierd lol.

Thanks tho. running fine again :)
