Random crashes

Post by eaglepep »

I am getting one to two random crashes of CoreTemp daily. I am running it on a Win7-64 bit Acer laptop with an AMD M300 cpu with 3GB RAM and an integrated HD4200 Radeon.

It randomly reports the following meswsage: Core Temp has stopped responding.

Then Win7 says it will look for a solution and will notify me when one is available but no notification has ever happened.

using ver 0.99.8.0 - 64bit

Is there any way to determine what is causingthese random CoreTemp crashes?

No other programs/apps have ever crashed on this computer since I bought it Dec 2009.

Does it says "Core Temp has stopped working" or 'responding'?
Either way the problem is a strange one. Usually when Core Temp crashes it happens at startup.

Exact message is:

CPU temperature and system information utility has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly' Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

I notice that this occurs sometimes when waking the system from sleep mode (maybe 70%)

I have a shortcut to the program and when I restart again it works OK.

First of all I would like to apologize for not replying sooner.

Have you been able to resolve the issue, or did you give up?
Will you be willing to give it another go, and maybe work with me a little bit to see if this problem can be found and fixed for the next release?
Please PM me your IM address/contact and I'll contact you.

I get the exact same thing with mine... same message. Although I'll come back to my computer and there's several (20 or more) error messages stacked one on the other saying the same thing.

I've ended up not using it because of this.
