not sure this is a bug: startup display failure

Post by Michael Smoker »

I have an Athlon dual core 2.4 GHz 4600+ 64-bit CPU, an ECS GeForce 7050M-M V2.0 motherboard, 2x1 gig Samsung dual channel DDR2 800 MHz RAM, and a 250-gig Caviar SATA HD. I run Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

Normally I have CoreTemp set to display both core temperatures, the usage percentage, and the clock speed on the taskbar.

I had my desktop turned off for a few hours. When I restarted it, CoreTemp ran at startup but only one core temperature displayed. The other items didn't display. I checked in CoreTemp Options and the taskbar settings and none of my settings in either place had changed.

When I restarted the computer everything displayed correctly again.

Anyone have any idea what happened here?

Michael

If the settings were not properly saved the first time might've been a glitch.

Well, the settings had been loading properly for a few days, but never mind. Thank you for the prompt response.
