Core Temp Gadget V2.5 Shows wrong CPU

Post by kbracey »

My Core Temp Gadget shows my CPU as an i3 580 (Clarkdale) but my CPU is an i5 680 (Clarkdale).

Not a big deal but bugs the heck out of me.....it would make me feel better if it was wrong in the other direction (shows i7 960 or something better!!!) :D

Core Temp dump attached

As you can see from the dump the name string shows i5 680 but the Processor model is saying i3 580 :?

from coretemp dump:
Processor model: Intel Core i3 580 (Clarkdale)
Processor name string: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 680 @ 3.60GHz
