Core temp gadget displays 8 cores instead of 4

Postby joe » Mon Dec 27, 2010 9:36 pm

Since I couldn't find an solution to my problem anwhere in this forum I made a new thread.
Ever since I've done a clean install on my Vaio (full specs below), the core temp gadget has gone crazy. Here is a picture of the problem:

It's obvious that it shouldn't look like this. My processor has only 4 cores not 8, and also the graph is displayed al over them.

I've tried re-installing the gadget as well as the program itself, but the problems don't go away. It's strange that when I restart the gadget, the problems are gone.

These are my most important specs:
Sony Vaio F series
Intel Core I7 720qm processor
6 gb 1333mhz ram
OCZ Vertex 2 120gb SSD
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
Core Temp 0.99.8

What should I do?

Thank you in advance

This a bug in the gadget.
It occurs when the gadget starts on an HT enabled system before Core Temp is started.
This will be fixed in the next release.
