BUG with G13 display and Startup with Win 7

Post by misterboobou »

Hello,

Firstly, thanks for this great soft! I use it for so long time that now it's bugged, I really want to solve it.

I have 2 problems with it:
1 :>: It doesn't start up with windows.
2 :>: The display in my G13 seems have odd problem.

I used to use it in real time info by G13 screen, I'm on win 7 64 bits.
Few weeks ago there were no problems at all, what I changed since it is my mother board (from P6T deluxe V2 to EVGA FTW3). I needed to reinstall all the OS and softs.

1- It doesn't start with windows, I don't even see the programme in msconfig or startup programs of Ccleaner.
I read that there are problem with administrator statut on vista, I have not this bug. I'm administrator like when it worked. I tehre a way to had it in startup list manually? I really don't know why it worked before on this OS and not now.
I really want to avoid the task scheduler method because i used to have CT without it, I really think there is a bug we can solve

2- That is the screen I used to have (the good one)

Image

That's the screen I have when I reboot:

To have no problem I need to enable "use built in font" for the good G13 display, and need to enable "start CT with windows".
When i restart CT, the startup option is disabled but not the G13 one (good point).
And when i reboot the computer, i start CT, all is disabled: I have bad display screen on G13 and CT has not launched with Win 7, even if I manually edit the coretemp.ini file --> BuiltInFont=1 (it was on 0)

All other options seems saved, it's very odd.

I know the program can work well, the only different thing that when it worked is my mother board, i guess it's not the source of the problem?!

NEED YOUR HELP
I really can't use this soft, I have a WC PC and I can't imagine I haven't a look on my temperature by security.

Thanks if your are my saver! :)

The problem occurs when Core Temp starts before the Logitech control software.
I'm going to try and get around this in the next release.
The other problem is a bug which has been found, and it will be fixed in the next version.

I too am also having this issue with Startup with the G15 and the G510 keyboards. Let us know when you get it figured out and fix bro, I really like your program and use it daily for Temp readings and CPU info. Are you working on one for GPU's as well, if so, I would like that.

Thanks for your hard work on creating a program that does what a bunch of us like keeping up with about our computers.

Edit: Core Temp is starting up with Windows now. But the LCD applet still needs to be manually re-enabled.

I'm also having issues with Core Temp not starting up automatically in Windows 7. I have to manually start Core Temp and re-enable G15 applet every time now. I'm using a G510 keyboard. Looking forward to the next release.

Work on the G15 support has been pretty much discontinued. It is simply not at the top of my priority list at this time.
I really wanted to outsource development of the G15/G19 applet as a separate plugin for Core Temp, but I couldn't find anyone interested in taking on this project.
