Options crash

Post by sholle »

I'm running an Intel I5 (see attached). I can start core temp, but when I try to access Tools->Options the program locks and crashes. See attached.

I tried uploading a file in doc, rtf, htm, and pdf. No luck. I wanted to send a screen cap of the crash. Whe coretemp crashes, I have to restart the computer to get it to run again.

Hey I have the same problem. I thought it was because I removed it and then got it again and that it was an registry problem but maybe not.

First of all I would like to apologize for not replying sooner.

Have you been able to resolve the issue, or did you give up?
Will you be willing to give it another go, and maybe work with me a little bit to see if this problem can be found and fixed for the next release?
Please PM me your IM address/contact and I'll contact you.

I gave up until last week. So Again the problem is that core temp on my dell inspiron 1564 with i5 mobile doesn't work properly. It just wont open most of the time. If it does open everything will work except the settings in the options menu. I am completely blank about the cause.

After some investigation, it seems it has to do with Windows' task scheduling service.
Try to open the Task Scheduler and see if you get any errors from it, this will indicate whether that's the problem which causes 0.99.8 to crash on startup or when you go into settings.
Also feel free to send me your IM contact via PM so I could contact you for some 1 on 1 debugging.
