Sorry for the late reply, it's probably irrelevant by now, but I still want to make sure there's no thread that goes unanswered.
The temperature the two applications report are coming from two different sources, that's why it's different.
Core Temp displays the temperature read directly from the processor registers while OC Tuner uses the on-board Super I/O chip's temperature monitoring capability.
