on core 1 i have a temperature of 39 to 41 celcius. core 2 46 to 50 celcius. is this normal under idle with no programs or apps running? its around 5 percent cpu usage. this is my first build i did little over a year ago. the fans are all new. i was running sli but the other card packed it in. im using the paste that came on the cpu when i bought it. would it be worth taking my computer apart to change the thermal paste? it runs alright but i am a little worried about it overheating when im playing games or converting video which i do alot of. any help is much appreciated

cpu: athlon 64 x2 4400+ (toledo)
MB: asus a8n-32 sli deluxe
gpu: evga 7900 gt SC w/ zalman VF900-CU copper dual heatpipe vga cooler
case: antec p180 all fans spots are filled 1x80mm 5x120mm antec dbb fans
2 gigs ocz platinum pc 3200 ram @400 mhz
ocz gamexstream 600w power supply

edit: i disabled cool n quiet and qfan . i got a 7 degree temperature drop on both cores . im going to try and reinstall the cool n quiet driver

idle temps dont count for anything.

And to have a couple degree difference in each core is fine.
