Sempron 3000+AM2/Mobo

I wanna OC higher than 2.2ghz but every time i try to
in my mobos bios the pc wont start so i reset it and it says
oc failed.
also i am getting mixed readings in temp for cpu.
core temp beta: 36c
Pc wizard 2006: 29c
MSI duel core center: 47c
AMD Sempron 3000 @ 2.2ghz
MSI K9N Platinum
i think its the mobo,most msi boards have been having probs
maybe mine does too.
