Hey, im OCing my 3000+ Venice and i cant get it passed 2.6Ghz. I think its my RAM holding me back. If i have the CPU at 289x9=2.6Ghz, 1.5V, HTT at x4, DRAM V@2.7, DDR266. my set up is as follows:

ASUS SLI Premium - BIOS 1009
AMD 3000+ Venice Rev E + AS5/XP90/Panaflow - max temp=45C@2.6
OCZ Premier 2.5-3-3-7 copper heatsink
EVGA 6600GT +AS5/Zalman VF700
Samsung 80GB SATA2 P series
WD SE16 250GB SATA2
ASUS quiet track DVD ROM
Antec SLK3000 + OCZ Powerstream 420W

I currently have this set up to the following settings:

FSB: 267
Multi: 9
CPU Vcore: 1.45
HTT: 4
DRAM V: 2.7
DRAM Ratio: DDR333
RAM bus at 418Mhz - stable

How can i get my CPU to boot at 2.7Ghz and have my RAM bus come close to 400Mhz - if i set the divider to ddr266 then i cant get anyware near 400MHZ for my ram bus. should i drop my HTT to 3?

Thanks

Try to lower CPU multiplier or use a higher memory divider, and then you'll be able to see if the problem is in the RAM or not.
And not all Venice OCed very well. 2.6GHz is still a pretty decent number.
