Screenshot (F9) output in smaller format?

Post by CoreTemp-User031 »

Hello, The Coolest. I'd like to make a small request.
Could you make the screenshot function to output png, gif or jpg image files? I'm asking because bmp is pretty huge without any visible gain.
Take a look:

bmp 489Kb
http://www.box.net/shared/nuqyn1c9v1

gif 11.3Kb
Image

png 15.5Kb
Image

jpg 113Kb (100% quality)
Image

I'd say png or gif is the best because of the small size they have.

Thanks for your great program.:)

I will probably implement a BMP --> PNG convertion in the next release. I didn't implement it because it has dependencies on GDI+. But that comes with Win2k and up pre-installed so it should not be much of a problem I guess.
