I dont see TC doing any HDD+GPU temps anytime soon, but im sure he can easily do a windows autostart. For now you can put it in your startup folder.

Well i don't think it would be too hard for him to add the start on boot up option. I believe we disscussed that topic before, but i don't remmeber the outcome.

The GPU option and HDD option is a totally different and most likely require a lot of work. Though it all depends on how much time TC has. I believe he is cooking up something nice for us. :)

GPU, for nVidia at least is possible.
But that means using their driver's DLLs to retrieve data.
I'm not really fond of the dependancy idea, also I currently don't have a lot of time to invest into this and considering this is a CPU temp monitoring tool mostly, I have a higher priority features that I still want to add.

Windows auto-start = Done.
nVidia GPU monitoring is in the plans somewhere... Stay tuned.

Been looking into GPU temperature. Not as easy as I originally thought.
For nVidia there's an easy way to do it, but it will only output a single reading, no matter how many GPUs you have. It is also platform dependant and doesn't work on Vista.
So that leaves us with 32bit 2000\XP\2003, not very useful. There other ways to do it, but that means a lot more low-level things will have to be developed, and that's just not a high priority.

ATI is a problem as well. The information about taking the readings out of the driver (the easy and probably safest solution) is under NDA, and I don't have that.
So currently GPU temp readings are out of the plans for the near future.
Sorry :(

HDD monitoring is a completely different deal. Has to do with SMBUS support.
I don't really think that Core Temp has much to do with the hard drive anyway.

Just to make things clear. I'm still thinking about adding GPU temperature detection, but nothing else is currently in any plans.

GPU would be awesome! i think that it would be great if CoreTemp would be an all temperature lightweight tray application:)

cause there is no compact lightweight tray aplication for CPU+HDD+GP temp :///
