Very strange menu corruption

Post by fmb »

When I run coretemp, it makes a very strange behavior occur in Windows XP SP2. Here is the behavior:

go to firefox (or any other program that deals with files)
choose "open file" from the file menu
you see the chooser
pull down the "look in" drop down menu
voila ! It disappears after appearing for less than 1 sec

make coretemp go away and it all starts to work -- so it is certainly our little utility that is doing this.

The same is true of "save as" menu with their "save in" drop down. The "save in" drop down vanishes after a split second.

This makes coretemp a bad program to have always running in the background (as I would love to). Please fix.

Dunno man, it's fine on my machine; I can't reproduce your error. What video board are you using and which version of the display driver?

I am using an NVIDIA GEFORCE 8800 GTS board (EVGA is the maker). Doesn't seem to be a driver issue, seems to be windows...

Try to disable the logging feature in the settings menu.
It must be caused by some extra app on your machine which monitors access to files on the system.
