CoreTemp only reading 1 core

Post by thecpl »

When using Winxp Device Manager, two cores are shown.

Core Temp Beta 0.94 only reads 1 core

Core 0 - 25*C
Core 1- 0*

CPUZ only shows 1 core/thread

any clues? :rol:

ASUS P5B-E / Conroe 6420 / Thermalright XP-120
2GB Corsair PC5400Pro / Enermax 485W PSU / 19" IIyama CRT

Hi and welcome to the forums

The problem you're expiriencing is not an issue with Core Temp. It is a problem with your Windows installation where it doesn't detect the second core.
Make sure that in Device Manager you have "Multiprocessor ACPI" installed under "Computer", if you don't then try to manually install it. Also check how many "CPU graphs" there are in Task Manager under "Performance"
