Problems with QX6700

Post by sparkz »

Hi

I have a Striker MB with a QX6700.

The readings CoreTemp seem slightly off! Also, it has my processor as a QX6900. See screenshot:

Any ideas?

Thanks

Are you sure about that?

This is a water cooled system running at idle. ASUS Probe was showing 23C and the BIOS 28C (generally shows about 5C higher).

Have I missed something fundamental here?

Ok, I was being a bit dim here! "TJunction" is the maximum tjunction and the readings are supposed to be higher because they are more accurate.

Just amazes me how far off the BIOS or ASUS readings are and we're supposed to rely on that to save your cpu from toast!
