New PC

Well guys. The time has come for me to buy a new PC!!
Well I say buy, but when, in the great tradition of PC Owners with a minute knowledge of IT has anyone actually BOUGHT a PC. We like to built them, RIGHT?!
So, I ask you my tecchie friends to scour the web and find me a fast and effient PC for under £500!!
This is a task for you but I am sure you can do it even though this budget is small.
I am sure you will agree, however, that my 1Ghz PC with 320MB RAM needs SERVERLY dumping in a skip!
So please post links and opinions for me
