Sorry for reviving an old thread, but I second this suggestion. I know you're currently working on the NVidia GPU temperature monitoring, but I didn't see anything about showing it on the G15. I can't imagine it would be too difficult to add it to the cpu output though. Maybe if you decide to figure...

You were right on the money with the versions. Upgraded RealTemp and now it mimics the temperatures in CoreTemp. Speedfan was only .01 versions behind, but after upgrading it it became much more on target as well.

Thanks for the advice, CoreTemp wins again :).

Speedfan vs Coretemp vs Real Temp

I am having a little trouble understanding which I should believe. I don't know in depth how each program obtains the temperature information. I'm pretty sure RealTemp does it by subtracting the Distance to TJ Max from the TJ Max. But anyway, here are two pictures. Everyone likes pictures. :) Idling...

Just something I noticed, changing the amount of CPU's in msconfig (Boot tab -> Advanced), makes coretemp show an incorrect amount of cores.

Oh Arthur, I also fixed your G15 issue for myself by writing an application that starts with windows and checks if the LCD software is running. If it is, it loads up core temp and exits itself. Works like a charm and the temps show on the lcd screen every time. :)

I will try to look into the strange multiplier behavior on the Core i7. I don't have a Core i7 to play with so debugging isn't very easy. If it helps, I have the similar issue on i7. With the default and on the fly detection, the multiplier calculation is one more than it really is. When using the ...

I like the G15 support. I have many ideas for it. I would be could to be able to place readings where we want them. You give us a grid and we enter text and variables we want. Like: Core0: %c0t (%c0mt) Core1: %c1t (%c1mt) This would display: Core0: 52ºC (56ºC) Core1: 51ºC (57ºC) %c0t is Core0 t...

Oh there is one more issue I am having. Sorry if it was mentioned already.

When I load CoreTemp, it appears to spike the temperatures a few degrees, then settles down to what they are. Any ideas on that one? Let me know if you need more information.

I checked into what you said a little more and it seems like when it doesn't load with windows, it takes the double enable to get it to to show. I know what you were getting at about it showing in the list with the first enable, then always on top by the second time. When I mentioned the delay, I di...

The G15 LCD enable is nice, however it seems that you have to hit enable twice before it actually shows up on the screen. Still having that same problem about it not showing up if it loads before the LCD software, but I told you about that one.
