Re: Too hot to handle -- fahrenheit
if you don't believe it, take off your laptop cover, touch the heatsink i bet you it will be burning out... plastic acts an insulator therefore, the perceived hotness will feel less. You could try other software such as hwmonitor and speed fan which report temperatures through your motherboard, i be...

Re: Core Temp 0.99.5 "32 bit" or "64 bit"
use which ever your windows is running. if its a 32bit windows, a 64bit version of coretemp will not work as you will be OS limited. bottom line: 32bit windows = 32bit CoreTemp. 64bit windows = 64bit CoreTemp. (this extends out to all other programs/applications) note that if you try and run a 64 bi...

So follow these steps: Make sure your fan is spinning, Also Buy a can of compressed air and clean the heatsinks/vents of your laptop. Make sure they are indeed clear. Re: What is "normal"?
if your cpu is running at 218 F you want to make sure your fan is running inside as that is over 100C and yes it should be automatically shutting down at that point. idealy you want it to have it around less than 140F but then again a lot of laptops these days run really hot. I would download prime9...
