Re: Core Temp 1.1 - 1.8.1 - Driver failed to load

You're welcome! I wish it had an auto-updater or notifier. Ah well.

Re: Core Temp 1.1 - 1.8.1 - Driver failed to load

I have had no problems using 8GadgetPack v23.0 , on any flavor of Windows 10, including Fast Ring builds and Fast vNext Ring builds. Granted, I don't use any CoreTemp plugins, but the gadgets I normally use are working just fine, including one that requires .NET 3.5 (and has Windows 10 auto-install ...

Re: Core Temp 1.1 - 1.7 - Driver failed to load

Secure boot is an option within the UEFI settings. Are you absolutely sure you have it enabled? Also, are you absolutely on version 1703 or 1607? Just trying to learn more about the issue.

Re: Core Temp 1.1 - 1.7 - Driver failed to load

... The program's creator already explained the issue reason quite clearly several times, so please do not question that. ... likely more like some Intel chipsets/mobos work, others not. Same for AMD ones. ... So, I tend to think older mobos more likely work, and newer ones are more likely to fail....

Re: Core Temp 1.4.1 showing wrong multiplier and frequency

I have a couple questions regarding the multipliers: CPU-Z has a way to choose Tools -> Clocks ... to see the instantaneous multipliers for each core. Core Temp just shows a single multiplier, and sometimes shows values like "19.5", when a half a multiplier doesn't even make sense for my C...

Re: Core Temp 1.4.1 showing wrong multiplier and frequency

Excellent. Thank you, and keep up the great work. I use Core Temp to monitor loads/frequency/temps on my 4 PCs that do BOINC work :)

Re: Core Temp 1.4.1 showing wrong multiplier and frequency

I also have an i5 520M laptop CPU ... where Core Temp is saying the multiplier is 19, when really I believe it to be 20.

Here it is, attached. It was taken while under full load, at a 28 multiplier according to CPU-Z.

Core Temp 1.4.1 showing wrong multiplier and frequency

Core Temp 1.4.1 showing wrong multiplier and frequency I have an Intel i7-965 Extreme Edition CPU, overclocked at a 28 multiplier on all 4 cores. Model: Intel Core i7 (Bloomfield) Platform: LGA 1366 (Socket B) Revision: C0/C1 Core Temp 1.4 correctly shows my "28" multiplier, and my "1...

Re: Core Temp 1.1 - Driver failed to load

Can you confirm that, on a completely fresh install of Windows 10 (with NO OTHER SOFTWARE), that Core Temp still fails for you?

Re: Core Temp 1.1 - Driver failed to load

Sorry for the delay in response. I got it upgraded to the 1607 version, and now all is well.
So, I have no idea really what the true problem was, but somehow my security store must have been corrupted on my previous installation. This new installation is working great!
Keep up the great work!

Re: Core Temp 1.1 - Driver failed to load

I reinstalled my partition. I'm not having the signature problem, so far, but I'm still on Windows 10 Release (1511). I've hopped back into the Fast ring, and am awaiting to be targeted with the Windows 10 Insider (1607) build - Will let you know the result after it's upgraded.

Re: Driver failed to load

As the title says, I'm getting a message saying the driver failed to load and core temp can't run, after updating to 1.1, my previous version works fine, so I have that running, not sure what changed with the driver in 1.1 that caused it to refuse to load but I'd like to help diagnose if I can What...

Re: Core Temp 1.1 - Driver failed to load

I did another test with the new Windows 10 Build 14388, released today. I installed the build, was able to use Core Temp 1.1, restarted the PC, and then was unable to use it. So, I've concluded that the problem has nothing to do with the "Finish installing device software" notification. Bu...

Re: Core Temp 1.1 - Driver failed to load

Still trying to troubleshoot this problem (before throwing in the towel and rebuilding the partition... a task for next weekend perhaps). Anyway, sfc did not return any problems. Re: Core Temp 1.1 - Driver failed to load

Hmm.. Well, my test results are basically: The same problem is happening on Build 14385 on this PC, and .. I was able to use the newer versions right after installing the Build, and after clicking "Finish installing device software"... but after the first restart, they didn't work. The cer...

Re: Core Temp 1.1 - Driver failed to load

My plan is, whenever the next Insider build is released: - Install the build - Don't hit "Finish installing device software" right away - Test whether I can get Core Temp 1.1, and Intel XTU 6.1.2.8, to install and function correctly - Uninstall them - Open Task Manager (to monitor what wil...

Re: Core Temp 1.1 - Driver failed to load

What the crap.... I had a notification that said "Finish installing device software", I clicked it, I restarted, and now the 2 programs don't work again.
:) Making progress to ironing this out! But I don't know what that notification did.

Re: Core Temp 1.1 - Driver failed to load

I confirm that, after installing Windows 10 Build 14383, both: - Core Temp 1.1 - Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel® XTU) v6.1.2.8 ... are working correctly. Keep in mind, Core Temp 1.1 was working just fine on my 3 other PCs that were using the same build. So, I now suspect that the certificate s...

Re: Core Temp 1.1 - Driver failed to load

First off ... I'm using Fast-Ring build 14379. Please be sure to update to that (Select Fast Ring, then takes 24-48 hours of runtime before Windows Update offers it), to test on our same version. Secondly, in addition to the newest Core Temp not working (Event Viewer says:) The ALSysIO service faile...

Re: Core Temp 1.1 - Driver failed to load

I will try to troubleshoot this more in the upcoming few days/weeks, and if need be, may resort to a full reinstall of my partition. I vow to help you track this down.
