Thanks for the clarification The Coolest.

As I posted earlier, Core Temp only displays temperature changes above 45c. Would these reported temperatures be accurate do you think?

It a problem with your CPU, please look here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=103638&page=13 I've read the above link, but I'm unsure that it is a CPU issue as the link is concerned with Yorkfield CPU's, but the E8xxx series are Wolfdale. I have a similar problem to the OP ...
