No update yet??
Had to remove CoreTemp as I found it was actually causing my PC to lock up. Would love to use this for temperature monitoring, but appears it just doesn't like the Skylake platform.

No Intel Skylake Support?
It appears Core Temp doesn't work correctly with Intel Skylake CPUs (i7-6700K). Base Clock, Clockspeeds and Core VID are completely wrong, temperatures look correct though. I hope you can add support, been using this program for years now. http://i.imgur.com/lRfMixm.png Register Dump file: https://d...

Intel Core M-5Y71
Tried running Core Temp on my new laptop.. it pegs the CPU at 100% and hard locks my entire system after about 15-20 seconds. Running Windows 8.1 64-bit and using 64-bit version of Core Temp 1.0 RC6. I did manage to somehow get a Dump file from CoreTemp before it hard locked... not sure why that is ...

Re: Unwanted Malware installation.
Just download the standalone version... the installer isn't necessary or required.
Click the More Downloads link on the download page... it's listed right there.

Re: RC3 Bug - Wrong CPU Detected
It worked properly before v1.0 though, i only noticed this problem when you released the first v1.0 Release Candidate.

RC3 Bug - Wrong CPU Detected
Just downloaded RC3 hoping it would properly show the correct model of my CPU.
It looks like this hasn't been fixed yet. My CPU is a Core i7-860 and is being detected as a Core i7-850. Hope you can fix this for RC4.
I attached my Register Dump file.
Thanks!
