Re: Coretemp RC6 Freezes Windows 8 64bit

I'm also experiencing this issue on Windows 8.1 x64. However, possibly unlike most users here, my system (work PC) is using the CPU's built-in graphics, i.e. no discrete graphics card. So it doesn't seem to be related to GPU and/or drivers. I've rolled back to RC 5 for now, which works fine, but wou...

Shared memory API reporting incorrect values?

I've created a .NET application to read Core Temp's shared memory. Because the .NET DLL supplied in the Plug-in SDK is out of date and does not support version 2 fields of the CoreTempSharedDataEx struct, I reimplemented the shared memory reading with an up-to-date version of this struct, which I've...

Re: CPU frequency/voltage always read at maximum (1.0 RC5, R

What is the power plan select in Power Options? Try setting it to Balanced (or to power saver if it is already on balanced) and see if this affects Core Temp's readings. It's set to Balanced, been set on that since I installed the OS. Things are still weird, here's what I did: 1. Shut down the PC. ...

Re: CPU frequency/voltage always read at maximum (1.0 RC5, R

Since I made this post I swapped out my CPU for an i5-3570K running at 4.7GHz, problem still persists. My OS is Windows 7 Professional x64. I opened the System Information window like you suggested. All 4 cores were pegged at 4.7GHz, but the VID was fluctuating between 1.1809 and 1.1859 volts. Then ...

CPU frequency/voltage always read at maximum (1.0 RC5, RC6)

CPU: Core i5-2500K (Sandy Bridge) @ 4.5GHz/1.392V Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme6 My CPU is overclocked but EIST is enabled in the BIOS to allow it to throttle down to its minimum clocks/voltages (1.6GHz/1.024V) when idle. CPU-Z and various other hardware identification applications correctly track...

1.0 RC2: Overheat protection selection issue

If I go into the Overheat Protection Settings dialog, and the "Activate if TjMax is reached (5° below)" radio button is selected, and I try to select "Activate at the specified temperature", both radio buttons become selected. If I then close that dialog via the OK button and reo...

Re: 1.0RC2 sometime shows incorrect CPU frequency

I get this same problem when my PC resumes from Sleep mode, it shows my FSB at 800 MHz instead of the correct 400MHz. The previous version I had installed, 0.99.7, does not exhibit this behaviour.

Coolest, if there is anything we can do to help narrow this down (e.g. debug build) please let us know.

Re: Possibility to customise the G15 display?

The Coolest, I know you're planning full plugin support in version 1.0 as noted on the main page (BTW the link to http://www.overclockerspulse.com/news-posts/new-feature-in-core-temp-10-plug-in-system/ no longer works) - if the next release is 1.0 then would it not make sense to pull the G15 code in...

Possibility to customise the G15 display?

It would be great if the data displayed by Core Temp on the Logitech G15 LCD could be customised by users - even if you make it an INI-only setting which has to be edited by hand. For example, Core Temp displays on my system: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 (Wolfdale) 3608.11MHz (400.90 x 9.00) - 1.2750V Cor...

Awesome! Do you have an ETA when the next version will be available for download?

G15 LCD not showing temperature info

I'm using Windows 7 x64 RC1, a Logitech G15 v2 keyboard, and Core Temp 0.99.5.27 64-bit. Whenever I resume the computer from hibernation, Core Temp no longer displays temperature information on the G15's LCD screen - the only way I can get the info to show again is by restarting Core Temp (Tools -> ...
