EEEPC Tool Beta 1.0: First of all: *EXCLAIMER* The author nor the Host of this program will be held responsible if it breaks anything. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. On the other side, I've tried it numerous times and it seems to work just fine :) *USAGE:* Start the program, select the resolution and other settings you wish to use and click Apply. You can select the resolution from the file menu or by right clicking on the program's icon. The effect will be the same as choosing a resolution and clicking the Apply button. INI file(s): Please don't mess with it\them. :) For some tricks you can do with it\them see *TIPS*. *TIPS:* For best memory usage, open the program and then minimize it (the automatic minimize on startup doesn't always work too well in this regard). It should cut program's memory usage to hopefully less than 1MB. [Resolution.ini] You can play with the keyboard indicator colors by editing the Resolution.ini file. NumLckBG = Num lock background color. NumLckFG = Num lock text color. CpsLckBG = Caps lock background color. CpsLckFG = Caps lock text color. ScrLckBG = Scroll lock background color. ScrLckFG = Scroll lock text color. KbIndClr = On Screen Display (OSD). All colors must be in "long" (integer, not HEX) format. You can use my little app (needs VB6 runtimes) 'Colors to Numbers' for this purpose. Get it at http://www.alcpu.com/EEEPCTool/CTN.zip Get the run time here: http://www.sdsoftwaregroup.com/tableofcontents/sdDarts/troubleshooting/troubleshooting02.asp Setting a color value to 8487297 specifically will cause the item to be transparent. It can be applied to both text color and the background color. KbIndPos = OSD position on screen. Here's a simple picture showing the positions and the values: http://img259.imageshack.us/my.php?image=osdposwu7.png [OSD.ini] You can enable\disable OSD features by editing the OSD.ini file. CpuLoad = Displays the current CPU load, set to 0 if you want to disable it. MemLoad = Displays the current memory usage in Megabytes and Percents.
